Web Design Process
A typical web design project takes about 2 - 4 weeks, depending upon its complexity and components needed, if you are readily available for questions and reviews, and if all the information is in our possession.
Here’s what you can expect during the design process:
- Introduction - Fill in the Request a Quote form to get the ball rolling. We will contact you within 1-2 business days with a Design Quote. If we need more information about the answers you've submitted to us, we will be in contact with you sooner to ask questions.
- Work Agreement - After your acceptance of the Design Quote, we will send a Work Agreement/Contract for you to sign and send back to us.
- Deposit - A deposit of 1/3 of the total estimate will be due before work begins.
- Website Content - We will need you to submit the content to be used on your site before or during the early stages of creating the Design Concepts. This includes all text and images to be used on the site.
There is one exception: if we are developing a Content Management System for you, we only need the text and images that will be used to identify and decorate your website (navigation text, page titles, logo, etc.). After completion, you will be able to log in and populate the website with content yourself. - Design Concept Review - We will provide you with one or more design concepts which we will create based upon your input - desired colors, style, sample sites and overall vision as communicated to us. If our initial attempt is not in the right direction, we will present another concept. We will provide up to three different concepts.
- Revisions - Once the design concept is decided upon, we will begin to make revisions in order to customize it completely to your specifications. If your payment plan includes paying in thirds, the second installment will be due at this time.
- Balance Due - After the final design has been approved, the remaining 1/3 of the estimate will be due prior to the delivery of website files and login details.
